Once you have your credit report, review it very carefully.
1. Determine that all the credit reported is accurate and belongs to you. If not, you may be a victim of identity theft.
2. Make sure all the credit accounts you have closed indicate closed by consumer.
3. Check to see that all your credit cards indicate your credit limit.
